Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book here at Broom House & Whites. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

Price

The price includes accommodation plus any board indicated. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, telephone drinks etc are additional. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, cheque with banker’s card, debit cards, credit cards

Payment Guest Accommodation

A deposit of 100% of the total cost of the first night booking is required. This is non refundable and non transferable!!

Cancellation Guest Accommodation

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. If cancellations are made in excess of 3 days before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time (within 3 days of your arrival date), or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling, you would be in breach of this policy & the cost of the entire reservation will be charged.

It is important therefore that you ask for/read a copy at the time of the booking, the deposit /cancellation rules, which on most occasions, will be communicated via a confirmation in writing via fax, letter, SMS or e/mail.

Cancellation Insurance

We highly recommend a holiday cancellation insurance policy, which covers cancellation through illness, accidents etc

Non – availability

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund

Arrival

You are welcome to arrive here at Broom House, anytime before 1p.m, or after 4p.m.on day of arrival. Please confirm approx arrival time, when making a booking, or at least 1 week prior to arrival, would be helpful.

Departure

Please be ready to leave your accommodation by approx 10a.m on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the bed and breakfast accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure AS WELL AS PLEASE REMEMBERING TO HAND IN YOUR KEYS!!!

Damages and Breakages

Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. We endeavour to provide a very high standard of furnishings & cleanliness in all our rooms and cottages and ask for your respect and consideration of our efforts towards your comfort. Please report any accidents, as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge, if additional cleaning is required to furnishings/bedding etc, if you did not report this.

Non-Smoking Policy

For the comfort of our guests, we have an absolute 'NO SMOKING POLICY THROUGHOUT THE SITE, HOUSE, ROOMS, RESTAURANT AND GARDENS!' A charge of £100 will be charged to the room for cleaning all furnishings, curtains and bedding if smoking is found to have occured.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Booking Accuracy

We take every care to ensure that at the time of going to print, the details in all our leaflets are accurate regarding the description and information about facilities available or planned to be available. Photographs are for general guidance only. There may be occasions where facilities need to be withdrawn due to repair renovation, development, adverse weather conditions, changes in government legislation or codes of practice or other occurrences outside our control. We reserve the right to make such alterations without prior notice and we are unable to accept any liability as a result therof.
